HEADS UP! WINTER ON THE WAY?

Just a quick reminder about our league weather policy:
This weekend, there is a chance for snow and possible dangerous driving conditions. The safety of our guests is always most important to us. If rink management determines that it will be too risky to be out on the roads due to adverse driving conditions, then our league games will be postponed and rescheduled later in the season. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, we feel strongly about the safety of everyone. While driving conditions in town may not appear to be that bad, our facility is located out in the open on the highway, and can often times have much different conditions at the facility than what you may experience in town. Trust us. If there is a way to play, we will make sure to go forward with games. But, we aren't willing to risk lives just for a few league games.

So, how will you know if games are on as scheduled? Because we may not be able to reach everyone by phone prior to the start of games, we will post an announcement on our website homepage. Simply visit www.columbuseventcenter.com and look for an announcement. You won't miss it if there is one! Another option is to call the Event Center at 402-562-5663 and press Option 3 for more details about our sports leagues. Any cancellation or closing announcement will be recorded there. In the event the phone line is busy, we will update our "busy" greeting message to reflect any immediate change to the schedule.
